Dengue Patrol Poem

Assalamualaikum wbt.

Today, a total of 8 form 3 students  had recited a poem about dengue in different languages like Malay, English, Chinese, Japanese and Arabic. Each language is represented by a male student and a female student. The students are selected according to their language skills. Here are the names of the selected students

Social Services

Assalamualaikum wbt.

On this day, the form 3 students went to Gemenceh , Negeri Sembilan, Tadika Kemas Batang Melaka and school compound for clean water reservoir to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes that spread dengue fever become an increasingly prevalent in our country. Mrs. Roziyana, Ustaz Sufian and Ms.Zuraidah was responsible for supervising the students. The students were distributing leaflets to encourage the residents to keep the neighborhood. A total of 15 students have been working together to ensure the success of "Mission Attack Against Dengue".The program also strengthens the relationship between the villagers and students SBPIS.

Poster 'Dengue Patrol' Competition

Assalamualaikum wbt.

Today, poster 'Dengue Patrol' competition was held in our school at hall. The Form 1 and Form 2 students were told to take part in the competition in order to raise the awareness among them about the dengue.They were all then were asked to draw any depiction of dengue. This competition were arranged by the form 3 students with the help of some teachers. School only provided the drawing paper while the stationery were prepared by their own.

Quiz 'Dengue Patrol' Competition

Assalamualaikum wbt.

Last Thursday, our school held a quiz competition with the intent to increase students 'knowledge about mosquitoes and test the their understanding of the dangers of dengue fever. The quiz consist of two section which were section A and section B. In section a, there were 11 questions while the section have 6 questions altogether. So, the students were told to answer all 17 quetions within an hour without copying their friends' answers.

Painting Mural Dengue Patrol

Assalamualaikum wbt.

Throughout the week,form 3 students were asked to paint a mural on the school wall on patrol dengue. Activities led by teacher Malita going very well and give a good impression. The purpose of this mural painting is to give exposure to students about mosquitoes and dengue fever. Furthermore, the colorful paintings attract students to learn about mosquitoes like mosquito cycle process.

We are also proud of our students who also have talent in painting murals. Their mutual cooperation is greatly appreciated. The students involved are Irfan, Nazhan, Naqibah, Azeeliza, Syamimi, Zulaikha Bakar, Athira, Haikal, Afiq and Azhad.

'Gotong-royong' activity

Assalamualaikum wbt.

Last weekend, SBPIS held a gotong-royong activity in school. All students who were involved in this activity were arm in arm cleaning the school compound. The purpose of this activity was to reduce the mosquito population by getting rid of places where mosquitoes can breed.  The students were asked by the teachers in charge to check on every places in the school which have been the breeding ground of mosquitoes. These included old tires, cans, or flower pots that collected rain.

Introduction

Assalamualaikum wbt. 

 As we know, dengue is a type of fever Also known as breakbone fever, is a mosquito-borne tropical disease caused by the dengue virus .Dengue fever is transmitted by the bite of an Aedes mosquito infected with a dengue virus. The mosquito becomes infected when it bites a person with dengue virus in their blood. It can’t be spread directly from one person to another person. Symptoms include fever, headache, muscle and joint pains, and a characteristic skin rash that is similar to measles. In a small proportion of cases, the disease develops into the life-threatening dengue hemorrhagic fever, resulting in bleeding, low levels of blood platelets and blood plasma leakage, or into dengue shock syndrome, where dangerously low blood pressure occurs.

Therefore, this blog was created to share with other people about our activities along the dengue patrol program. Every activities will be included with pictures and some videos for more enjoyment and evidences for readers. We will be update every activities we had done in this blog.
